Hey there! I’m Roni Lyn — born in Bellefonte, raised in State College, and proud to call myself a full-fledged “townie.” I’ve spent most of my life right here in Happy Valley, though I’ve had a few wild detours in places like Mississippi, California, Arizona, and even Guam. Yes, Guam! I’ve loved music for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was always singing in the car — my dad once said I’d either be a track star or a singer. Spoiler alert: neither happened! But I did end up finding my groove behind the mic.
I was “discovered” by another DJ back in 2012, and by 2015, I landed Middays on WOWY. In 2020, I decided to move to Arizona (yes, right in the middle of COVID… what was I thinking?). After a little sunshine and soul-searching, I found my way back home — and right back where I belong, playing the music I love here on WOWY Middays. Because as they say, you always find your way back home!
When I’m not behind the mic, you can catch me cheering on the Nittany Lions, visiting a local festival, or renovating my home.
