Good morning,An Elk County woman is behind bars on a half-million dollars bail, accused of trying to buy fentanyl to murder her husband for life insurance money. Ridgway Police arrested forty-one-year-old Katherine Leola Benson after she allegedly twice approached a witness at a local Subway restaurant attempting to source the deadly drug to collect a one-hundred-thousand-dollar policy.Meanwhile, a Brookville man will spend nearly a decade in state prison for the repeated sexual assault of a sixteen-year-old girl. Forty-three-year-old Dennis Darneil Dinger was sentenced in Clearfield County Court to serve up to eighteen years behind bars. DuBois City Police arrested Dinger after the victim reported multiple assaults at a local residence and a hotel.And tensions boiled over at the Clearfield County Commissioners meeting as officials moved to restrict public comment. Ahead of a packed house protesting the county's immigration detention center contract with I-C-E, the board announced that only county residents and taxpayers would be allowed to speak.
