Defense attorneys for seventy-seven-year-old Clinton "Bud" Rogers have filed a petition to dismiss the homicide charges against him, arguing prosecutors lack sufficient physical evidence to prove a crime occurred. Rogers confessed last fall to choking his deaf wife, Lonene Rogers, to death during a severe nineteen-eighty-one snowstorm.
