Good morning.A Tennessee man has been sentenced to three years in prison for his role in a fatal twenty-twenty-one drug overdose in Simpson County. Simpson Circuit Judge Mark Thurmond handed down the sentence to thirty-seven-year-old Timothy Davis Junior after he entered a guilty plea to reckless homicide. Davis was convicted of providing a lethal mix of heroin and fentanyl to thirty-one-year-old Adam Duffer. The new three-year sentence will be served consecutively on top of a ten-year manslaughter sentence Davis is currently serving in Tennessee for a separate fatal overdose.Meanwhile, regional nonprofit Feeding America Kentucky's Heartland announced its new Bowling Green warehouse has successfully rescued nearly one hundred fifty thousand pounds of surplus retail food since December.And the organization is launching a widespread community volunteer push to help assemble local nutrition boxes for low-income seniors.For more news, download the radioNOVO app. I’m Codi Gaboff, radioNOVO News.
